First Christian Church, dated 1960, designed by Thomas Nixon & Lincoln Jones. The location of this church marks your entry into Boulder, CO from the turnpike, but only for the time being. It is slated for destruction!

The brickwork and design remind me of this Boulder apartment building:

  1. Wow. That sucks. The building is a landmark in my eyes.

  2. How do we save it?

How do we get it on the National Historical Landmark Register?

  3. EXCEPT FOR THE BRICKWORK ON THE CHIMNEY(?) - I THINK IT’S UGLY. I’VE SEEN THIS SAME STYLE THROUGHOUT THE MIDWEST; TO MY ‘MIND’S EYE’… IT NEVER WORKS. NHLR, — INDEED!!!

  4. It’s done in Frank Lloyd Wright-style, so yes, that is true, you do see similar styles throughout the midwest!
