colfax car dealership, lakewood, co
This Colfax mod office building is currently empty, and the property is for sale, I believe.
Originally, I wondered if the building was repurposed and the ramp added to become the car dealership display, but the entrance is in the back, so I guess not.
I hope this structure survives the sale. I’ll post more Colfax structures and signage later.

I think it’s for lease. I’d have to go back through Lakewood’s zoning stuff, but that whole lot is scheduled for redevelopemnt around the light rail station that will be located just to the south of it. The plans extend all the way across the street to the old Target building. That’s why the Target building is only available for a short lease.
I don’t know what it means for that little building. I always thought is would make a great coffee shop.
That’s the used car sales office for the old Lakewood FordLand, before they moved to 6th and Union/Simms.
They parked high-end late-model used Mustangs on that little display ramp to attract customers. There were never any cars parked inside, because they were, well, used.
The new car show room was in the main building that’s now a “Drive Time” used car lot.
As I remember, they used to move lots of Mustangs there, and allways had a few of the flashy high end models on hand. (Think Shleby’s, Roush’s, and Saleen’s.)
