St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church, built 1964 to service the Green Mountain area of Lakewood, CO, just being developed at the time.

Beautiful use of stone and shingle and octagonal features. It is also sighted to give spectacular views.

Sorry I do not know the name of the architect, if there is a chance that you know, then please leave a comment!
sketch to arrive soon for this building

If you live in Lakewood, CO, you may not know it, but you undoubtably drive by this beautiful mod office building all the time!

This Colfax mod office building is currently empty, and the property is for sale, I believe.

Originally, I wondered if the building was repurposed and the ramp added to become the car dealership display, but the entrance is in the back, so I guess not.

I hope this structure survives the sale. I’ll post more Colfax structures and signage later.

1957 pre-fabricated aluminum diner on West Colfax, in Lakewood, CO

Chuckwagon breakfast $4.75 (picture dated January 2008!)

This classic Vegas-style sign competed with other West Colfax signage such as Taylor’s Supper Club and the Coney Island Hot Dog diner (now in Bailey).
